Electrical Engineering Intern - El Segundo, CA

The Electrical Engineering team at Skyryse is responsible for the design, layout, and testing of all electrical aspects of the SkyOS system. As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you’ll work closely with a team of industry veterans to advance the mission of making flight simpler and safer for everyone.

This internship is based in our El Segundo office. The Summer Intern Program will run for 12 weeks starting in May / June depending on your academic calendar.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with other Engineers to design, layout, manufacture and test of custom PCBAs and harnesses.
  • Generation of design and test documentation and processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams across Skyryse to ensure integrated product success.
  • Participate in analysis of current system performance to guide future improvements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in a university pursuing your Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Graduating between December 2026 & June 2027.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in any ECAD program (Altium Preferred).
  • Previous internship experience or relevant project experience in mixed signal, power, or motor controls.
  • Experience with standard bench test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, etc.)
  • Coursework in analog/digital circuits, PCBA design and layout, power electronics, and/or motor control electronics are a plus.
  • Experience with PCBA rework and harnessing.
  • Experience in C, Python, or any other widely used programming languages.
  • A strong interest in General Aviation!
