Utilizing this new class of chips enables existing optical interconnect systems to be built at much lower cost; new architectures to be deployed that provide significantly higher price/performance; and a whole new generation of higher speed interconnect to be built that to date have been impossible.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and responsiveness matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the full Accounts Payable cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong follow-up.
  • Record AP transactions, bank entries, and credit card entries.
  • Complete bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare quarterly HST remittances.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Support year-end audit requests and prepare supporting documentation for tax filing.
  • Contribute to ad hoc finance projects, including ERP implementation and process improvements.
  • Partner with internal teams to help maintain organized, accurate, and efficient financial records.

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in high-volume Accounts Payable and month-end close; AR experience is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take initiative.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Epicor, or similar systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
