About The Role
Humane's Wireless Team works cross-functionally with system integration, hardware, software, product design, program management, and operations to deliver a successful product to market. As a Radio Frequency (RF) Hardware Engineering Intern on the team, you will contribute to a best-in-class wireless device by focusing on electromagnetic (EM) design to mitigate radio interference. You will also learn about and develop RF algorithms to improve system performance, including battery life and link quality. You will support the product development lifecycle from concept to production.
What You Might Do
- Design and architect RF subsystems including desense, coexistence and OTA performance
- Plan validation of your designs: lead functional verification and system coexistence testing using automated scripts, simulate using EM tools, and debug hands-on with lab equipment
- Define and validate RF system level link budget, considering antenna design and coexistence
- Bring your design to mass production by setting factory test requirements, developing factory test fixtures and platforms, and assisting in system bring-up
Essential Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer and Electrical Engineering
- Strong Electrical Engineering, Radio Frequency and Antenna fundamentals
- Radio Frequency, Electro-magnetics and Antenna coursework
- Experience working with lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers and VNAs for validation, hands-on prototyping and design
- Experience with scripting (Python, C++ etc)
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on research experience in EE/RF lab
- Experience shipping high volume consumer electronics products
- A desire to work in a collaborative environment where honesty and accountability are paramount
- Ability to drive tasks independently and escalate and communicate issues and needs clearly
Salary Range: $45-$48/per hour
About the 'The Crew' Internship Program
- Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
- 'The Crew' Internship Program is currently only offered during the summer.
- Minimum of 12 weeks required. Program Dates are:
- May 5th - July 25th
- May 19th - August 8th
- June 2nd - August 22nd
- June 16th - Sept 5th
- Eligibility: students graduating before September 2025 are not eligible for 'The Crew' Internship Program.
