About The Role
As the Senior Web Engineering Manager at Humane, you will lead and mentor engineering teams by driving the development of a unified experience across the browser and the device. You will collaborate closely with Humane’s design team to craft and deliver a world-class brand and user experience. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping the direction of our products and enhancing how humans and computers interact.
What You Might Do
- Oversee the development of exceptional web experiences, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and a focus on optimal performance.
- Collaborate with device developers to create complementary experiences that enhance user activities.
- Partner with our AI experts to build solutions that leverage web inputs to enhance our AI processes.
- Continuously enhance and optimize our modern infrastructure, further elevating our already robust setup to increase quality and productivity.
Essential Qualifications
- 10+ years of industry experience in software engineering.
- 3-5 years of engineering management experience.
- Extensive experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Node, Ember, Vue, next.js).
- Strong understanding of web fundamentals, including networking, caching, and authentication.
- Proven experience in architecting and developing large-scale Single Page Applications.
- End-to-end delivery experience, taking projects from concept to deployment.
- Ability to manage complexity in a dynamic application landscape.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent.
Preferred Skills
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, fostering an empathetic and cross-functional work environment.
- Ownership mentality, actively seeking design input and proactively driving initiatives rather than relying solely on fully prepared designs.
- Experience with GraphQL.
- Experience with gRCP.
Salary Range: $220,000 - $270,000
Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)
- The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills
