About this Job

As the Director of Supply Chain, you will develop and implement supply chain strategies, mitigate risks, and ensure operational efficiency. You will manage the supply chain team and work closely with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal teams to align production schedules with customer demands.

As our Director of Supply Chain, you will:

Team Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and manage the supply chain team to ensure efficient operations across all functions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to optimize performance.
  • Write and refine supply chain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve processes.
  • Optimize production costs and negotiate COGS budgets for efficiency and profitability.

Supplier & Contract Management

  • Negotiate contracts and costs with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and strong relationships.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier capacity, lead times, and geopolitical factors.
  • Manage contract manufacturers and oversee CapEx requirements for SMT and FATP, ensuring equipment calibration and maintenance.

Production & Inventory Management

  • Oversee IC production, PCBA, and FATP processes.
  • Forecast demand for components, PCB fabs, enclosures, and accessories to align with production schedules.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of components and materials to meet production deadlines.
  • Manage inventory levels, including conducting regular audits and reconciliations with contract manufacturers and foundries.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including global market standards and regulatory changes.
  • Participate in new product development projects, ensuring smooth integration into the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing to align volume requirements with demand forecasts.

Qualities of a Successful Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain management within the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage IC production, PCBA, and final assembly/test processes.
  • Strong capabilities in MS Office, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with new suppliers, negotiating contracts, and setting quality standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make decisions under pressure.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and data sheets.
  • Experience working on government projects and familiarity with FAR Part 2 Subpart D.

Salary Range

Given our anticipated growth, we are open to hiring individuals with varying levels of experience to fill this role. Salary will be commensurate with job-related skills, experience and other relevant factors. The base salary range for the primary location of this role is between $150,000 and $180,000 plus stock options and benefits.
