About:
Clora's Client is a VC-backed, AI technology company developing AI agents that will fundamentally change how biomedical research and clinical development is done. The Client is looking for a Sleep Medicine/EEG/MEG expert with experience assessing EEG as a clinical trial biomarker, conducting Python analysis code alongside a written report, evaluating Event-Related Potential (ERP) paradigm design and component interpretation, conducting spectral analysis, including aperiodic/1-f separation, source localization and head modeling, conducting AASM-compliant sleep scoring, AND/OR assessing connectivity metrics and their volume-conduction pitfalls.
Candidates can be clinical neurophysiologists, neuroscientists/computational neuroscientists, sleep medicine physicians, or registered polysomnographic technologists, who have experience with hands-on analysis of human EEG datasets, not solely theoretical or literature-based experience, and have practical expertise in preprocessing decisions, including filtering, referencing, ICA, artifact handling, and channel rejection, as well as how these choices can bias downstream results.
Note - The micro-consulting engagement. This consultant will be given 2 assignments, estimated at approximately 2 hrs each for a total of 4-6 hrs of work.
Responsibilities:
- Help the team establish a quality control pipeline to evaluate EEG data (spectral or sleep staging)
- Assess the output of AI models and train them based on real-world expert judgement creating a set of rules and rubrics including failures modes.
- Consultant will be given 1-2 assignments, estimated at approximately 2 hrs each for a total of 2-6 hrs of work, where the consultant will run the Client's proprietary agent through a series of skill assessments, review the output/report, analyze if the agent did everything as expected including used the right references, tools, assumptions, context, etc, and share the findings and reasoning with the team.
Ideal Candidate:
- Clinical neurophysiologists, neuroscientists/computational neuroscientists, sleep medicine physicians, or registered polysomnographic technologists who have worked/supported the biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device industries
- Experience with hands-on analysis of human EEG datasets, not solely theoretical or literature-based experience
- Candidates should have practical expertise in preprocessing decisions, including filtering, referencing, ICA, artifact handling, and channel rejection, as well as how these choices can bias downstream results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to discuss complex topics and convey insights to stakeholders.
- Ability to articulate reasoning, not just conclusions.
