Spacecraft represent the most pressing unmet need across the entire aerospace industry. As more launch vehicles come online and the cost to orbit decreases, more companies launching payloads to space continue to emerge.

For the first time in history, this influx of payload companies combined with reduced launch costs has resulted in a massive increase in need for commercial spacecraft platforms, known as satellite buses. These buses hold the payloads of our customers and are flown on launch vehicles.

Apex manufactures these satellite buses at scale using a combination of software, vertical integration, and hardware that is designed for manufacturing. Our spacecraft enable the future of society: ranging from earth observation to communications and more.

We’d love for you to join us on our mission of providing humankind access to the galaxy beyond our planet.

About the Role

Apex is designing, building, and operating spacecraft at scale and our PLM infrastructure is a critical backbone of how hardware moves from concept to orbit. We’re looking for a Teamcenter Administrator to help us mature, maintain, and scale our PLM environment as we expand production in Factory-1 and accelerate development across the Aries and Nova product lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Apex’s Teamcenter PLM environment to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across engineering and manufacturing teams.

  • Partner closely with Mechanical, Avionics, Manufacturing, Quality, and Production Engineering to translate business needs into scalable PLM solutions.

  • Customize and optimize workflows, data models, access rules, and UI elements to streamline the release process and support fast hardware iteration.

  • Manage user provisioning, permissions, and security policies, ensuring compliance across programs and facilities.

  • Support day-to-day Teamcenter operations, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolving user issues quickly to keep hardware flowing.

  • Participate in upgrades, integrations, and expansion projects as Apex continues to grow our software and data infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.

  • Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Teamcenter Administrator or similar PLM role.

  • Strong understanding of Teamcenter architecture, data models, workflows, and customization.

  • Proficiency with Teamcenter administration and development tools, including BMIDE, ITK, and SOA.

  • Experience with installations, upgrades, and integrating Teamcenter with upstream/downstream systems.

  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, and their PLM integrations.
